Mega Cebu kicks off its first leg of Limpyo Compostela
Amid Cebu’s many plans to improve infrastructures and industries, the Municipality of Compostela starts at the roots in creating a cleaner and sustainable Compostela by implementing the Limpyo Compostela campaign – Mega Cebu’s movement on Information, Education, and Communication.
Last Friday, May 5, 2017, at Barangay Magay and Panangban, Wilfredo Hinoguin Jr., Solid Waste Management Head – Municipality of Compostela alongside Rosenda Bonghanoy Jr., Community Development Officer – Mega Cebu Constituency Building, gave an orientation to aid the barangay officials in facilitating the Limpyo Compostela initiative.
This movement is one of the many programs of Mega Cebu in line with the ‘Limpyo Cebu, Pwede Kaayo!’ campaign.
During the orientation, Wilfredo explains, “Medyo confusing pa ang mga technical terms sama sa ‘Residual Waste’ sa mga tawo dinhi sa Compostela; Mosulbad ra ni sa mga mosunod nga orientations ug meetings puhon.”
The partners and beneficiaries of the Limpyo Compostela Campaign are scheduled to meet on the 13 th of May 2017 for an orientation of the Limpyo Compostela Campaign, which will include its scope and objectives.
Bonghanoy and Hinoguin are yet to visit other barangays in Compostela for the orientation on Limpyo Compostela.
